Grain, hops, yeast, water, and empowerment — those are the ingredients for this year’s SheBrew Festival, hosted Sunday, March 5 at The Redd on Salmon from 12-7 p.m.
The fundraising event is a celebration and opportunity to showcase the work of female-identified beer and cider makers. More than 40 professionals and 10 homebrewers from around the Pacific Northwest will be there sharing their craft beverages with guests and networking with colleagues.
đź’ˇ Things to know before you go:
Attendees of all ages and genders are welcome; games and non-alcoholic beverages make it a great family outing.
Pre-sale tickets are $30 — or $35 at the door — and include a commemorative SheBrew tasting glass and an annual Human Rights Campaign (HRC) membership. For $60, VIPs also get early entrance, a SheBrew shirt, and 10 raffle tickets.
Proceeds go to HRC and its fight for equality, as well as Oregon Brew Crew’s mission to educate people about homebrewing and beer appreciation.
🎟️ At the event:
Use your punch card to sample and vote for the “People’s Choice” homebrew; the winner will collaborate with Madeleine McCarthy, innovation brewmaster with 10 Barrel Brewing Co.
Two women-owned food carts — Marty’s Sandwich Depot and Hearth & Soul Pizza — will serve delicious bites on site.
You can also shop from local women vendors including Forge & Fire, Wick Craft Beer Candles, East Coast Vintage, and Sweet Joyness Bakery.
Kind of a Big Peel from Sonia Marie (Leikam Brewing) and Jess Hardie (TPK Brewing), a kosher American wheat ale made with Cara cara oranges.
Hey, Hi, Hallo! from Jamie Le Resche of Away Days Brewing is a rich Munich-style dunkel lager with notes of bread crust, caramel, and malted cereal.
