Get to know the third member of the PDXtoday team — sales executive Alaina McIntyre.

Where are you from and what brought you to Oregon?
I was raised in Maui but spent the latter part of my adolescence in Northern California. I came to Oregon for college (‘sco Ducks) and stayed for the beautiful outdoors, kind people, and unique atmosphere.

You can only eat at one Portland restaurant for the rest of your life. What is it?
C’est Si Bon! Bistro + Vins for the most exquisite hole-in-the-wall French restaurant. The owner is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable when it comes to wine. The food that they produce out of their tiny one-person kitchen is beyond impressive and I dream about their cheese bonbons.

Name something that recently surprised you about the city?
The sheer amount of cherry blossom trees. They’re blooming everywhere right now and I’m obsessed.

You walk into Powell’s — where do you go first and why?
Straight to the fantasy section searching for anything Sarah J. Maas related. If you know you know.

Where’s your favorite view in Portland?
Portland City Grill at sunset with a glass of Champagne and oysters. Very basic, a little bougie.
