Bringing home a furry friend is always an exciting adventure full of love, snuggles, and a chewed up shoe or two.

  • If your business experienced economic losses caused by the recent winter storms, complete an Economic Injury Worksheet by Friday, Feb. 2 to help the city secure federal relief funds for small businesses. Note: Completing the worksheet does not guarantee a disaster loan.

  • Portland Mercado food cart pod reopened on Friday, Jan. 26 for takeout only after being closed for three weeks due to “extensive damage” caused by a fire. While Mercado’s indoor space — home to Xŏcotl, Barrio, and an incubator kitchen — is still closed, food carts are resuming business. (Eater Portland)

  • Lloyd EcoDistrict and SOLVE are hosting a Peace Memorial Park cleanup on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Advanced registration is required and volunteers will help with graffiti removal, picking up trash, and general “sprucing up.” Free coffee and snacks will be provided.
