Scandals, Downtown’s 46-year-old gay bar, will close its original location on Sunday, Sept. 21. Owners said they plan to reopen in a new space on Northeast Alberta Street sometime this fall, and will host a celebration for its final weekend in the Downtown spot. (KOIN)

Speaking of endings, two other Rose City spots recently announced closures. Ramen restaurant Afuri has already closed its SW First Street location, although two other local locations remain open. Suki’s sports and karaoke bar will also shut its doors after 29 years tomorrow, Aug. 15., leaving just Suki’s II in operation. (KOIN)
