From human-sized dragon statues to pizza-shaped balloons, this family-owned store has everything you need to throw a monstrous Halloween party. It also offers costumes, wigs, accessories, and party supplies (Labubu-inspired piñatas, anyone?).

A new report revealed that Portland’s Parks and Recreation is facing an “infrastructure crisis,” meaning the department is facing a substantial backlog for maintenance. The department estimates it could cost $800 million to restore all facilities to reasonable conditions. (FOX 12)

The Nike headquarters in Beaverton has been renamed the Philip H. Knight campus, after the company’s cofounder. Knight helped found the global brand in 1964 and stepped down as its president in 2004. (Oregon Live)

Brrrnside. That’s one of the names of Portland’s five new snowplows, unveiled by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. Other names include Plowy McPlowface and — our favorite — Beverly Clear-y. (FOX 12)

The Portland Japanese Garden is adding Tuesday hours for the next three weeks to allow visitors more opportunities to take in the fall colors. Stop by the garden between 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Nov. 4.
Coming Soon
Fast Times, a new pizza concept from the team behind the former Sizzle Pie at 624 W. Burnside St., will open in the same space today. The new restaurant will have a “throwback vibe” leaning on 1980s media + contain pinball machines and classic arcade games. (Oregon Live)
Legacy
Drew Struzan, the creator of the iconic movie posters for “Star Wars,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Harry Potter,” died this week at 78. Struzan was born in Oregon City, Oregon, and also created the poster for locally filmed movie “The Goonies.” (KOIN)
