This highly anticipated project from Akkapong Earl Ninsom (of Eem, Hat Yai, and Langbaan acclaim) takes guests’ taste buds on a tour of the bustling streets of Bangkok’s Chinatown. Dishes like the mapo tofu and the crispy egg noodle come peppery and piquant.
L’ Orange , 2005 SE 11th Ave. | Mediterranean | Reservations: Yes
You can fill your glass (and your soul) with French Riviera vibes at this “winery restaurant” in the former Willow space. Expect to pair entrees like sturgeon or braised ribs with expertly selected vinos.

Nestled like a pearl in the back of Threshold Brewing, this small kitchen emphasizes sustainability. Share oysters on a half shell or dig in solo to a lobster roll — no one will judge.

When the Northeast Portland pasta purveyor expanded to Sellwood, it planted its focaccia flag in our hearts (and stomachs). Grab a square or two (our favorite has Italian sausage, broccolli rabe, and hot honey) and shop the small market afterward.

From Hillsboro food cart to a downtown Portland debut, this eatery’s Middle Eastern flavors will make your mouth water. The saleeg special (a traditional chicken and rice dish) is a must-order if you visit on Thursday.

Inspired by midnight snacks enjoyed with loved ones, this Hollywood District creates an intimate experience where the food is prepared right in front of you (if you’re lucky to get a seat at the counter).
Gracie’s Apizza , 7304 N. Leavitt Ave. | Wood-fired pizza | Reservations: No
In a city of delicious pies, the toppings in Chef/Owner Craig Melillo’s toolbelt are remarkable — and the shaved apples and aged manchego are sublime. We’re just thankful he decided to reopen his operation in a new space where everyone can stretch out.

The family behind Rose VL Deli and Ha VL are opening a third restaurant on Southeast Belmon Street, serving classic Vietnamese soups and more specific regional recipes and street food. Stay tuned to its Instagram for opening updates.
