Watching the U.S. Women’s National Team’s quest for a World Cup three-peat from your own couch is fine — but you’ll get so many more post-goal high fives if you catch the match in Portland’s “Living Room.”

On Friday, July 21, The Sports Bra and Portland Community Football Club (PCFC) are teaming up to host a watch party at Pioneer Courthouse Square for the USWNT’s first game Down Under.

Pregame family-friendly festivities kick off at 12 p.m., offering food and drink from local businesses like MattaPDX, Mama Dut, and HeyDay. Flicks on the Bricks will show “Bend It Like Beckham” on the big screen at 2 p.m. Finally, the main event will start at 6 p.m., when the Red, White, and Blue take on Vietnam in what will be the Asian nation’s first-ever World Cup appearance.

The event is free to attend, but all merchandise and bar sales will benefit PCFC.
