Can’t get enough umami in your tummy? Then mark February and March on your calendar — that’s the time to explore Taste Newberg’s new Truffle Trail.

It’s the next evolution of Truffle Month, an annual event celebrating the Willamette Valley’s truffles — those hidden gems growing beneath layers of soil and dead leaves. The flavorsome fungi ripen during the cold winter months and are a prized delicacy for local chefs and epicures.

This year, you can explore a curated collection of experiences and itineraries, ranging from foraging with actual truffle-hunting dogs to decadent meals and wine pairings. And, there are plenty of lodging options so you can make the most of your trip to Wine Truffle Country.
