“If you’ve ever wondered what the zoo would be like without the kids, ZooBrew is for you.”
Those words from Oregon Zoo director of events Mickey Webb are a little taste of what to expect at the annual beer-tasting festival returning Friday, June 9-Saturday, June 10.
You can sample suds from more than 40 breweries and cideries from across the Northwest, order meals from local food carts, enjoy live music and lawn games, and chat with zookeepers about their work.
ZooBrew tickets cost $55-$65 and the proceeds support the zoo’s species recovery programs and conservation education, as well as the needs of the special creatures in its care. Admission includes a souvenir glass and 10 tasting tickets.
The fun kicks off each day at 6:30 p.m. (or 5:30 p.m. for early-entry ticket holders).
