Pride is here in Portland, and whether you’re living out as your true self or standing as an ally, there are plenty of opportunities in both June and July to celebrate the occasion. Here are a few highlights.

Sugar Town: Pride Month Kick Off Dance Party | Saturday, June 3 | 7 p.m.-12 a.m. | Kenton Club, 2025 N. Kilpatrick St. | $10-$20 | DJ Action Slacks and friends will be spinning vintage movers and groovers on vinyl records from 1955 to 1975.

Draw the Circle Wide | Saturday, June 10 + Sunday, June 11 | 7 p.m. + 3 p.m. | Parkrose High School, 12003 NE Shaver St. | $15-$25 | Portland Lesbian Choir and special guest Ara Lee James will host this concert of powerful, soulful music.

Portland Pride Run | Saturday, June 17 | 9 a.m. | Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade, Portland | $5-$40 | Portland Frontrunners and Poison Waters will host this fun run, walk, and roll on the waterfront.

Beaverton Pride | Sunday, June 25 | 11 a.m.-5 p.m. | Beaverton City Park, 12500 SW Fourth St. | Free | The whole family is invited to enjoy a parade, Sir Cupcake’s Queer Circus, food trucks, activities, an ABBA tribute show, and more.

Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade | Saturday, July 15-Sunday, July 16 | Times vary | Tom McCall Waterfront Park | Free, suggested $10 donation | The annual event hosted by Pride Northwest has been pushed back to avoid clashing with other holidays like Juneteenth and Father’s Day.

We love a party, but Pride is also prime time to give back. Celebrate by volunteering with Northwest Gender Alliance, PFLAG, Pride Foundation, Dykes on Bikes, or with a donation.
