It’s time to break out the green clothes and shamrock swagSt. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner.

From attending festivals to cooking up corned beef and cabbage, there are many ways to celebrate. If you’re looking to spend St. Patrick’s Day the Irish way, grab a pint (or two, or three) at a local pub.

We’ve rounded up cozy bars and traditional pubs where you can raise a glass of Guinness and snack on Irish fare. 🍻

☘️ Paddy’s, 65 SW Yamhill St.

More than 600 spirits adorn the impressive liquor wall at the oldest Irish pub in Portland (ask for the Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey), and the kitchen offers an authentic taste of the Emerald Isle with its bangers and mash + Irish poutine. A portion of the day’s proceeds benefit the Children’s Cancer Association.

Pro tip: The fun is free until 2 p.m.; tickets cost $25 afterward.

☘️ Kells Brewery, 210 NW 21st Ave.

Between here and its second location downtown, Kells throws a proper St. Patrick’s Day party. In Northwest Portland, there’s no choice but to get in the spirit and enjoy the Irish dancing, pipers, and other live performances under the tents (admission is $20 on the actual holiday).

Pro tip: The festivities run for three nights, if drinking during the week isn’t your thing.

☘️ Katie O’Brien’s, 2809 NE Sandy Blvd.

Less sizable crowds await at this neighborhood sports bar, but the Guinness tastes just as good — especially when you drop shots of Bushmills + Bailey’s into the glass.

Pro tip: The all-day breakfast menu (highlighted by a corned beef scramble + Irish country benedict) will help you prepare for the evening’s revelry.

☘️ Whelan’s Irish Pub, 11709 SE Division St.

☘️ T.C. O’Leary’s, 2926 NE Alberta St.

☘️ Shamrock Bar & Grill, 4919 SE 82nd Ave.

☘️ Duffy’s Pub, 11050 SE 21st Ave., Milwaukie

☘️ The Dullahan Pub, 352 B Ave., Lake Oswego

☘️ Clancy’s Pub & Restaurant, 16066 SW 1st St., Sherwood

☘️ Shanahan’s Pub & Grill, 209 W. McLoughlin Blvd., Vancouver
