Long live the season of outdoor dining. Just southwest of Portland and its many alfresco eating options lies the town of McMinnville where one of the best main streets in America is hosting a summer-long open-air dining series.

MacFresco! will transform McMinnville’s Third Street into a car-free culinary wonderland every weekend starting Friday, June 21 through Sunday, Sept. 1. The event, previously known as Dine(Outside), got its start during the pandemic as a way to safely serve guests and quickly became a popular highlight in McMinnville’s summer schedule.

This year, MacFresco! has expanded to include 41+ participating businesses, from restaurants and ice cream shops to art galleries and boutiques. Sip wines at Willamette Valley Vineyards’ tasting room, quench your thirst with gluten-free beers at Bierly Brewing, savor the flavors of Latin America at Pura Vida Cocina, and more.

Make your visit a full weekend adventure with our wine country road trip itinerary.
