ZooLights returns to the Oregon Zoo this holiday season

Explore the magic of the animal kingdom while the zoo’s real residents rest.

Penguins won’t be the only coastal creatures in the spotlight this year.

The Oregon Zoo will be merry and bright once again this holiday season. ZooLights returns starting Wednesday, Nov. 23, illuminating the zoo in Washington Park with over 1.5 million multicolored lights. 🎄

Guests of all ages can wander past twinkling forested areas, dazzling life-size animal silhouettes, and the light-bedecked zoo trainall of which were on display in past years. The electric wonderland will feature a new installation, showcasing coastal wildlife like otters, seals, sea lions, urchins, sea stars, and crabs. 🦭

You can walk through the sparkling show on foot, or stay in your warm car on specific drive-thru nights. Hot cocoa, popcorn, cotton candy, and of course elephant ears will be available to buy on-site.

The zoo will also host its popular ZooLights experience for those 21 and olderBrewLights — on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 with 45+ local beer vendors.

Timed-entry tickets are available online. ZooLights runs through Thursday, Jan. 5.
